I have a point&shoot 7.1 megapixel Sony Cybershot camera, and I want to get a Nikon D40. It has 6.1 megapixel. Should I get it? Is it worth it? Is there a difference between the megapixel and quality I’ll get between the two cameras? |

Is it easy to use? Good zoom? Is their a zoom button or do you have to do it manually with the lens?
Is there a better camera for the same price range? I don’t want to spend a bundle, but I want a good camera.
I have a Sony H7 currently. Will the Nikon be easier for me to use? Better pictures?
Side note: I like to take closeups when I’m far away.
